Restoring the main / hall living quarters at the Hermitage.
After Sr. Ruth’s - Kashin Sama's passing in April 2024, what remained was a place worn and weary — bearing the steadfast imprint of a hermit true to her vows and faithful custodian for the brief time she was given. Through the months that followed hands and hearts have restored its living quarters. The hermit was in Christian vows but also had training in Buddhist meditation practices and that that is the space the hermitage seeks to hold open.
Here is an account of transformation.
